Davis Paranormal Investigations specializes in paranormal investigation, more commonly called “ghost hunting,” throughout Utah. All paranormal investigations in Utah are free of charge.
Most haunting situations fall into one of the following categories:
- Residual - A residual haunting similar to a recording being played over and over again. A residual haunting is created when one or more persons either had either a repetitious routine or a very intense emotional experience during their life. The residual haunting plays over and over, gradually losing energy over time. This type of haunting has no consciousness and usually does not interact with living people or objects.
- Intelligent - An intelligent haunting is the actual consciousness, or soul, of a deceased individual who continues to be observed in an area. The spirits, if visible, will usually look as they did when they were alive. The entities are normally connected to a specific site, person, or object. Signs of an intelligent haunting are slamming doors, lights flickering or turning on and off, disembodied voices, strong presence of someone near by, etc. Intelligent hauntings often respond to living people and interact with objects.
- Poltergeist- German for “noisy ghost”. A poltergeist haunting is generally centered around an individual. The individual will have very little communication with the spirit. A poltergeist manifests itself by moving objects and making noise, they may or may not respond to or interact with the living.
