How we work
When you schedule an investigation we will arrange for a member of our team to interview eyewitnesses and tour the location prior to the start of the investigation itself. This helps us determine the location of “hot spots” so we can focus our attention on areas where paranormal activity has been observed. It also gives us an opportunity to determine the best places to position our equipment for optimal coverage. This step helps the the investigation setup go much smoother.
On the day of the investigation our team will arrive at 8:30 PM in unmarked cars. We will bring a crew of 4 – 9 people, depending on the size of the building. We are usually done and packed up by 3:00 AM. If the haunting is a residual haunting that occurs at specific times we will alter the time of the investigation in order to be present when the activity is usually observed.
We will setup four stationary cameras in the areas of highest activity. We also leave a digital voice recorder in the room where the most activity has been reported. After the stationary equipment is in place, we turn off all lights and get a base temperature and EMF reading. We then send investigators into the property in groups of two or three while other investigators monitor the video feeds from the stationary cameras.

Investigators use an EMF Detector (Electromagnetic Field detector) to locate and observe changes in the electromagnetic field. Some theories suggest that spirits use electromagnetic energy to manifest. The EMF detector will pick up any changes in this energy. When a change is observed or an anomaly is located further investigation will determine if the EMF variance is due to unexplained phenomena or something less supernatural, such as bad wiring. Investigators also carry compasses because they can help investigators locate the cause of a spike in EMF activity.
Digital voice recorders are used to record all sounds during the investigation. The audio is later analyzed to determine if EVP (electronic voice phenomena) has been recorded.
A Hi8 digital camcorder is used to capture the shapes, shadows, and manifestations that we may have missed while walking in the dark. The higher resolution and clarity allow us to not only identify potential haunting activity but also to weed out false positives.
Digital thermometers are used to identify temperature fluctuations. Once an anomaly has been located further investigation will determine if the cause due to a spirit or something more mundane, such as a draft from a vent or window.
After the investigation is complete all video, audio, and still images will be analyzed. When the analysis is complete we will contact the property owner to review the results of the investigation.
We review any unexplained activity with the property owner, and if natural explanations are found for phenomena which was believed to be supernatural we will inform the owner of the natural cause so the activity will not be mistaken for paranormal activity in the future.
